As part of Le Gallais’ green transport policy, the Company has offered all employees to contribute half of the cost of a new bicycle of their choice, either electric or conventional, up to a maximum contribution of £1,000.
Benefiting our environment, health and wellbeing
Several of our property agency team have already taken up the offer and have purchased or have E-Bikes on order. Staff having their own bike to commute into the office will complement our Company owned Specialized E-bikes we have in-house to use for appointments around town and the wider Island, and jumping on a bike has been embraced by all staff members. It makes a lot of sense when you can be in Gorey or St Aubin within half an hour on a bike when it can be longer in the car with the ever-increasing traffic. Even the Self Storage team use the bikes to commute between our town and Five Oaks store for meetings or to suit shift patterns.
Not only is the new initiative benefitting the environment but also the health and wellbeing benefits are really being noticed.
