Ambitious plans for old industrial site
300 homes, shops and parks could be built at the Gas Place industrial site in St Helier.
The ambitious plans follow Jersey Gas’s decision to move its gas storage centre to a new £7.5 million facility at La Collette.
The redevelopment will see 298 one, two or three bedroom homes built as well as 255 parking spaces, 10 commercial units and 800 square meteres of park space.
Jersey Gas director Stuart Crossman said: “We have designed a scheme which complements the surrounding architecture, adheres to the States of Jersey development brief and will provide much needed, affordable accommodation in the centre of St Helier.”
“The proposal will stimulate the local economy and provide jobs in construction and related sectors.”
